Ever heard of a mega fashion retail empire in the Midwest? Well, if not you better find out who that is: The Buckle. The Twinzies are officially back to dirt road anthems (Nebraska life), but were both still dreaming of those California sunsets and tailgates in the headlights (best of both worlds). For both of us the Buckle as a brand and fashion layering inspiration has been around as long as we can remember (23 years for us). From tailgates to runways fashion inspiration can come from anything and everything.
So, as the old story goes… the layering craziness took over and soon the Twinzies found themselves dripping and layered up in some Buckle layers. Courtney is constantly inspired by the boho, free people, and constant hues of the rainbow. Below are some of the latest looks this boho doll took into her own hands. Her first look involved a Gimmicks floor length skirt, cheetah Old Gringo boots, a Billabong “Mermaid” tank, and last but not least a Daytrip floral headband.
Her next look again screamed “Boho-Chic,” with a free people sweater with lacey cutouts, Stoosh Southwestern dress, and some wedges from a featured vendor Not Rated referencing her mermaid inspirations with sequins and rhinestones.
Last, but not least Courtney is looking forward and layering up for those summer nights and the upcoming season. She picked up her favorite Liv Big Stars and added a cut out Daytrip coral sweater with a Jolt tank standing out with a printed tank. Our colorful twin grabbed a variety of looks that all tie together to complete her boho-chic personality .
To further display a variety of looks one must call on the nightmare twin for those darker classic looks! For starters Chelsey has been showcasing the “Americana” look lately. Grabbing those “Americana tanks,” which Affliction is sponsoring a lot for this season along with a bke red skirt, some Old Gringo boots, free people leggings, and a flannel tied around her waist. This look tied together because it takes separate pieces that are very versatile that can be layered to complete a look that is rocker country girl chic.
Chelsey too wanted to tie in with Courtney another denim brand besides Big Star, BKE, Daytrip, Miss Me, Rock Revival, etc. that is a must have and that is the Tuesday Silver straight jean. With distressed tears what more could a girl want with a fun crop top by RVCA and a flannel thrown over it. She added her own classic touches such as the bandanna and red lip. With this look throwing on some Naughty Monkey sandals is a must!
Finally, looking ahead Chelsey wanted to layer up a grungy sweater with a BKE white cami, Billabong tank, and a blingy belt by Kippys found at another one of our favorite spots Wynk in Kearney. Adding some special touches such as bowing up the sweater with a two feather headbands was a must for her. It just adds that extra touch.
Now that the Twinzies have took onesies, twosies, and threesies, they have literally “Buckled,” their layered inspired looks! This is one retailer in the Mid-West that has looks for a versatile shopper looking for that perfect fit and flare.
XOXO, The Twinzies
